Entrepreneurship drives economic growth, innovation, and job creation. The Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) offers a range of government programs to support aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those from marginalized communities and rural areas. These schemes provide financial assistance, training, and resources to help entrepreneurs succeed.

Awareness Workshop on Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunities

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre successfully organized the 1st Quarter IIC Event for the academic year 2025–2026—an Awareness Workshop on “Entrepreneurship & Innovation as Career Opportunities”—on 22 December 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at VRR Hall.

The workshop featured Dr. Bhuvaneswari Srinivasan, Ph.D., Independent Scientist, Entrepreneur, Research Mentor, and Founder & Scientific Director, Bunova LabDesk (R&D & Translational Research Consultancy), as the Resource Person. The session emphasized the scope of entrepreneurship and innovation in the life sciences, highlighting career opportunities, research translation, and start-up ecosystems.

Faculty members, researchers, and students actively participated in the programme and benefited from the expert insights shared. The workshop played a significant role in fostering an innovation-driven mindset and encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among the academic community, in alignment with the objectives of the Institution Innovation Council.

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre successfully organized an insightful session on “Achieving Problem–Solution Fit” as part of the 1st Quarter IIC Events (AY 2025–2026) on 22 December 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at VRR Hall.

Muthuvel, Senior R&D Executive, Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation, Sairam Institutions, Chennai, Mr.Jayanth, Senior R&D Executive, Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation, Sairam Institutions, Chennai , Mr.Dhanush kumar , Junior R&D Executive, Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation, Sairam Institutions, Chennai who served as the Resource Person. The talk emphasized identifying real-world problems, validating innovative solutions, and aligning ideas with market and societal needs—particularly in the domains of research, innovation, and start-up development.
